This has touched so many lives. Even if we were not in your shoes, there is so much of the Father's love for us all in this. He is with us through and through. Praise God for using Russ and I thank God for Russ and his humble willingness to be real. Russ and Tori you are very very loved. Thank you for sharing .

Tears of joy and tears of sorrow.....I have them too.....not because I lost my husband of 53 years....but because we lost our son when he was 35 years old. It is a barrier that, after almost 16 years, is still so tough to get through. I hate it....but I have hope....hope that I will see him again....hope that he really did give his life to Christ so many years ago....trust in His Word.....thank you.

I wonder what your Dads life was like as a child. Might have a lot of answers to why he was the way he was. Jesus is all about forgiveness

Having been sober for over 40 years and a Christian since 12 yrs. Old it’s never ceases to amaze me how God never leave one of his own but is always there to welcome us home no matter how far we stray. To God be the Glory!

Chonda Pierce , you will learn that God used you to help us all cope as you sacrificed your time with your kids. He had them, and you will be richly rewarded for the sacrifice you made missing out on time with them. Reality begins when we step into heaven. This is just our dress rehearsal ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

Saw your video on soft white underbelly, would have been nice if you would have mentioned "jesus", just once. You were healed by what? AA? Still waiting for you to highlight Jesus and not some multiple rehab or AA program. Listen to and believe in your words of your music.

Chonda. I’m so thankful for you. I’ve been struggling with the loss of my beloved. I’m a retired nurse. We took care of his mom until her 99th birthday and she went to be with the Lord. He had began showing signs of dementia. I had retired from nursing but recently took an interim position at my church in finances ( part time). His dementia was getting worse and after 2 1/2 years I resigned and was training my replacement, at the end of the training he became ill. Found out he had stomach, and lung cancer. I brought him home prepared to nurse him until? I was a nurse. Hospice was coming in to assist. He went to be with the Lord 3 days later. It’s been a difficult year. I was scrolling thru U TUBE and stopped on your site. Had to be a blessing from God or a “Its Time” get it together. You have blessed me so tenderly with your story. I’m ready to go through it instead of around it. God bless you I thank you so much for being strong enough to share your story. We were married 40 years. He gave his life to God about a year before he passed. Glory to God.

The answer is no you are not enough but that’s OK because Jesus is!

I realize we all go thru hard times growing up. We were raised in a legalistic denomination, but made it through by God's help. What I don't understand is, the hard and emotionally and mentally difficult as it has been for some, what good is it doing you to go public, airing out your spiritual laundry. Pray about it, bury it under the blood and be quiet. If someone needs help to go through what you've been through, help counsel them with prayer and God's word, but no need to go public about it. The Bible says to forget those things which are behind you and press on toward the mark of the prize of the high calling of God. Do you think Jesus went public with what he went through here on earth?

Russ Taff. Undeniable voice with a God-given gift to sing. Still have the CDs from the 80s and enjoyed it all, including The Imperials. As imperfect as we all are, it is a wonderful place to be covered by the amazing grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus. Blessings.

I love your story. We are the same age and grew up in the same times. I cried watching you tell it along with Tori. Continue in your faith and healing. Alcoholism runs in my family as well and sucks the life out of people and relationships.

I am watching from the Caribbean island of Trinidad. I want to say is Chonda thank you for your service because bringing God's medicine laughter to God's people in difficult times is ministering to the broken, the weary, the lost. You are a missionary for the Lord.
